VPI seeks a highly motivated individual for an experienced Conformance Test Technician within our manufacturing environment. This position will reside full-time in our VPI Manufacturing location in Draper, Utah. $17.75 hourly wage.

D-tect designs and manufactures radiation detection equipment for military and commercial customers. We work on exciting and challenging projects with a tight-knit, smart, fun group of employees. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Experience
  • 1+ Years test experience
  • High-school diploma
  • Will be working on a government contract: must be a US citizen

Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Great attention to detail
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Manual dexterity, fine motor controls, and strong hand-eye coordination
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to provide clear direction to others and listen actively
  • Strong interpersonal/communication skills
  • High degree of professionalism and maturity with ability to work independently, problem solve, and make decisions with limited supervision
  • Ability to adapt to changes, delays, and unexpected events
  • Reading comprehension
  • Exercise good judgment, keeping in mind company policies and procedures
DESIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
  • Previous experience involving consumer electronics is a plus
  • Testing experience
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform conformance testing by meticulously following test procedures (radiation detection products for the US Army and other clients)
  • Identify any defective items and handle according to established procedures
  • Convey any non-conformances identified to management
  • Recommend necessary corrective actions based on inspection results
  • Verify that proper process is being followed and documented
  • Notify supervisors or other personnel of testing problems
  • Clean, maintain, or repair test equipment
  • Assure that all paperwork is properly signed for accountability
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Other duties as assigned
