Eljen Technology is seeking a Machinist to join team in our Sweetwater, TX.  The Machinist is responsible for the production of precision machining and assembly equipment.


Job Type: Full-Time, In-Person

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
 
  • Operate fabrication machinery to produce parts used in manufacturing processes
  • Read and interpret blueprints and design sketches to ensure proper dimensions and specifications for parts
  • Selects the appropriate cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and material to be used on machines
  • Examine and measure completed units and parts to identify any defects and to ensure units conform with predetermined specifications; adjusts machine controls to resolve production errors
  • Inspects machinery for any needed repairs; perform minor repairs within expertise
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of work area
  • Comply with company and industry safety standards and regulations
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

  • Excellent mechanical skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail a must
  • Prolonged periods of standing and bending required
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time
  • Ability to operate various types of machine tools to perform progressive machining
  • Ability to read blueprints, plans and designs
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
